About Michael Sirio

I am a software developer with an increasing interest in new technologies. For the last few years I have familiarized myself with the world of web development, utilizing Amazon Web Services and the NEAT tech-stack. Throughout my development career, I have worked both within and across teams to contribute numerous customer-facing feature sets while exploring the world of AWS.My adventure truly began after graduating from NC State and starting my job at Extron Electronics. I was placed on a team that heavily relied on AWS for the backend of our web-app. Throughout my contributions, I have become increasingly familiar with many of Amazon's web services, such as Lambda, APIGateway, DynamoDB, and many more. It's been amazing to see just how powerful these services can be, and how much integration is available among them.In my free time, I've begun experimenting in mobile development. I chose to investigate the React Native framework, since its cross-platform capabilities and general popularity stood out to me. I've created a handful of applications, for both iOS and Android operating systems. I've also taken what knowledge I've gathered from my studies and utilized those skills to create a demo application for my employer. This app was essentially a read-only version of the web-app my employer is working on, but seemed to offer a great deal of value to the company. This app is currently still a work-in-progress, but I'm hopeful that it may offer more use to the company in the future.
