About Michael Slaney

I am a Business Owner and Project Lead with over 16 years of experience in electronic engineering and environmental services. I have a diploma in Electronic Engineering Technology from the College of the North Atlantic and a passion for creating a greener future. In 2021, I founded Hydro Weed Plus, a company that provides commercial and residential customers with eco-friendly weed control solutions that do not use chemicals or harsh byproducts. My company also offers outdoor equipment sanitation, graffiti removal, gum removal, ice dam removal, and more. I manage all aspects of the business, from marketing and sales to operations and customer service, leveraging my project leadership and business skills. In addition to running my own business, I also work as a Project Lead at NAV CANADA, where I have been installing, maintaining, and repairing communication systems and equipment for air traffic control and navigation since 2009. I have successfully completed multiple projects across Canada, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency standards. I have also developed and enhanced my skills in communication systems, radio frequency, and electronics. I am driven by my mission to sustain the environment and provide innovative and reliable solutions to my customers. I am always eager to learn new skills and technologies and to collaborate with other professionals in my field. I am proud of my achievements and motivated by my goals.
