About Michael Smyth

I initially joined Linesight in and returned in 2012, having amassed 13 years industry experience. I am responsible for the provision of a full range of cost management services, including cost planning and estimating, cost reporting, contract sum negotiations, valuations, final account agreements and cash flow projections. My experience extends across a broad variety of sectors, including commercial, industrial, residential, retail and refurbishments. Some of the prestigious projects that I have been a part of include Diageo’s Brew House No. 4, for which our team received Medals of Recognition for our exemplary performance, KPMG’s Stoke Place re-fit, No 27 College Green refurbishment/extension, and commercial and residential office developments in Dublin’s Docklands. The team that I manage work on mixed use, commercial, residential and industrial projects, with our current focus predominantly on the Dublin Docklands region. My priority is to add value for all clients; to become a trusted advisor and team member on their projects, and to instill confidence in the client that their project is being professionally managed. Having worked on the contractor side for a number of years, I believe I carry a unique perspective, which is also often of benefit to my clients. Qualifying as a Chartered Project Manager gives me an added insight into the building process, and assists in ensuring costs are kept under control. Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is fundamentally important to me, and I provide our in-house APC training and assessment.
