About Michael Sohn

I am currently Manager in Intergovernmental Policy in the Deputy Minister’s Office at Cabinet Office, Ministry of Intergovernmental Affairs. I manage domestic intergovernmental files for the ministry, provide policy advice and support to the Deputy and Premier’s Office, and build diverse teams where each employee feels a strong sense of belonging. I work in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment where I juggle multiple files and projects and manage relationships at all levels of government. Before joining the Ontario Public Service, I worked in academia as a university professor where I conducted in-depth research, analyzed complex information and communicated results through briefings, reports and presentations. I have a strong educational background with a Ph.D. from the University of Chicago and a postdoctoral research fellowship from École des hautes études en sciences sociales.
