About Michael Spence

I realized at an early age what I wanted to work in when I was older; when sat at my Amstrad 64 (leading edge computing back in 1987) and I wrote my first BASIC program. It wasn't going to make me a million, but repeating the same word over and over on a screen kindled my love of technology and I was hooked from that point on! Fast forward 30 years, and I honestly still love the career i chose; providing technology solutions to business challenges, ensuring IT systems run smoothly and constantly seeking to improve results through the use of computing. I am a highly motivated individual, with a huge wealth of experience in IT operations and infrastructure fields - this has helped fuel the inner geek in me with implementing new technology, and the acquired set of skills has helped to architect, implement and manage some very successful software and hardware solutions. I currently manage and mentor a team across the APAC region providing Server, SAN and desktop support across many locations. The role is broad: encompassing strategy, architecture and delivery (as well and day to day management)- but hugely rewarding to be part of such a high performing team delivering solutions that make an impact.
