About Michael Spencer

I'm a hands-on and self-driven IT Support and Network Engineer with a passion for building, troubleshooting, and optimizing networks. A graduate of a military-grade network engineering bootcamp (NexGenT), I’ve completed over 80 hands-on network deployments and am currently pursuing my Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) and Python certifications. My technical toolkit includes designing and managing network infrastructure (routing, switching, wireless, and security), automating tasks using Python (in progress), and supporting systems across Windows, Linux (Ubuntu, Mint, Raspbian), and Mac environments. I’ve also created a custom JavaScript-based automation script that’s been adopted company-wide to reduce IT response times. I thrive in environments where I can learn, adapt, and take initiative—whether designing 3D-printed solutions, helping my team reduce downtime, or collaborating on IT project rollouts. At Amazon, I’m recognized for fast learning, clear documentation, and cross-team communication. Outside of work, I contribute to my family's small business, support my kids in their virtual learning journey, and constantly explore emerging technologies. I'm excited to grow my skills and connect with others in the network and IT automation space.
