About Michael Stenson

What does it mean to be purpose-driven? For me, it means my cup is filled with every chance I get to improve the way people experience work. It means I'm less concerned with "what" I do and more concerned with "what for." I believe work plays a powerful role in our lives. Like education, community, and family, work is an institution of the human experience. It's a place where we learn and grow, professionally and personally; where we exchange social capital and develop meaningful relationships; where we can fulfill our human need to achieve while making ends meet. Knowing all of this is why I believe work should be joyful, meaningful, and enriching for everyone. And I think it can be. I recently joined sweetgreen to help create a top tier team member experience. I'm happy to be there because my mission & values align with those of the organization. My mission is to improve the way people experience work. My values are curiosity, optimism, kindness, empathy, and authenticity.
