About Michael Stevens

I have 18 years of experience working in Project/Program Management and QA/Test Management in the ICT industry. I have worked across multiple industries, including Financial Tech, Telecommunications, health, insurance, taxation and human services. Current Experience has given me opportunity to extend my project management experience in the Financial Tech organisation undergoing significant transformational change from traditional waterfall project based structures and processes, to capability led domains delivering Continuous Improvements in a Continuous Delivery and Agile framework. I have developed new skills in establishing Robotic Process Automation capability, structure, framework and Centre of Excellence. Innovation/investigation of AI capability, potential benefits/considerations of enhanced Digital Employees, and collaboration with industry specialists to develop Service Virtualisation capability to support Integration, API, Web Service validation and Test Driven Development. I have experience heading up a Program/Project Management Office at the Commonwealth Department of Human Services, which provided shared services team of Project Managers, Solution Designers, Architects, Change Management, ITSM, Quality Management, Management Information (MI), for application development branches that were predominantly delivering SAP and digital technology projects. I also have experience in procurement of services to match enterprise capacity/demand management and ICT Costing capabilities. My experience included management of RFQ and RFT processes for individual contractors and engagement of Service Integrators to deliver partial or complete set of project deliverables. Our team delivered over 60 projects in this time, the majority being IT solutions that supported business users or directly provided online/digital/mobile customer facing services.
