About Michael Stolwijk

My name is Michael Stolwijk and I have been working as a pre-sales and solution consultant in the IT for almost 26 years and now working at Telindus. Not bound to a certain market segment I have a wide customer variety in which I operate, varying from enterprise customers to large service providers. This gives me a clear vision and understanding on how infrastructures impact existing business processes and how to enable new methods of working using new technologies. I have a broad history in networking technologies and architectures, from historical SNA network architectures to the latest high-speed multimedia-networks. Understanding the difference between enterprise infrastructures, where availability and security are important, and ISP infrastructures where Network feature virtualization, services and transport differentiation are important. Next to being one of the first CCIE’s in the Netherlands, I was also the first specialist within the Netherlands being certified to interconnect Cisco IP infrastructures with the Mainframes. Hereby becoming skilled in the technology of mainframes. Looking from the above history and skills is not strange to find me in the fast developing world of datacenters, where unified computing, virtualization and “software defined (SDN)” have become my latest challenge.
