I am a result's focused and highly experienced senior investment professional with 33 years’ experience ranging from investment and wealth management and advisory to pension plans’ executive and board directorships. A proven track record of consistently exceeding investment, client and corporate objectives as an advisory firm CEO, Chief Investment Officer (three major pension plans) and investment manager. I have over 20 years' experience as a CIO and, as a board director and member of advisory boards. I offer expertise across all asset classes, together with demonstrable skills in advising, Chairing and being a member of Investment Committees, Boards and clients. I am a highly experienced manager of teams, and offer the proven ability to restructure, integrate and transform as required. My communication and interpersonal skills are advanced, as is my ability to tailor my explanations of highly complex financial matters in accordance with the level of financial understanding held by the person or group that I am speaking with. My leadership style is consensual and aims to bring people along with you, whilst also developing their potential. As a team player, I firmly believe that the power of the collective is greater than the sum of the individuals, and being naturally curious, I enjoy analysing, deconstructing and solving problems. I relish challenges, am disappointed by failure and take satisfaction in exceeding expectations. Having metamorphosed from a research scientist to an investment professional, I am flexible and not fazed by change and uncertainty, readily accommodating both. Having a sense of humour, I believe is imperative to keeping proper perspective on career, life and their challenges.
