About Michael Strange
My research looks at the formation of political order and change, focusing on a broad range of empirical topics that includes global trade governance, the role of municipal and local government in global politics, migration, and healthcare and medical research. I have written on the WTO, the EU, GATS, TTIP, civil society, irregular migrants, legitimacy, and democracy, amongst various other issues. I have given evidence to the UK Parliament, which was directly quoted in a committee report that was cited by the UK government. I am involved in an international project on precision healthcare and everyday democracy that includes institutions based in Brazil, Sweden, and the USA. And, I am on the coordination board for two research platforms: CFM -Collaborative Future-Making; and REDEM -Rethinking Democracy. And, I currently direct the one- and two-year Masters programmes in Global Politics and Societal Change at the Dept. of Global Political Studies, Malmö University.
