About Michael Streeter
After obtaining my BS in Biology I wanted to become involved in the healthcare. I started this journey by becoming an EMT and working in a local emergency department. I moved on from there by earning a paramedic license, which I worked for several years supporting my family. I continued to work as a paramedic throughout medical school and residency. I finished medical school in 2006 at Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine and my emergency medicine residency at St. James Olympia Fields in 2010. My primary site of employment after residency was as an emergency medicine physician for Franciscan Health Crown Point. It is the current site of my employment and I am the medical director of emergency services for the site.
