About Michael Stulz

I am a 2019 graduate of Northern Kentucky University, holding a Bachelor of Arts in English (Creative Writing) with a minor in Film Studies. As an experienced writer and editor, I have honed my skills through various editorial roles, including contributions to NKU's Loch Norse Magazine and Pentangle literary journal. Most recently, I collaborated with the Scripps Howard Center to edit their faculty handbook, which provides guidance on teaching student philanthropy in the classroom.I am passionate about storytelling—not only through my own voice, but also in helping others express theirs. Empowering individuals to share their stories and project their unique voices onto the page is one of the many aspects of writing that brings me joy. I am eager to connect with others who share similar passions and values.Professional Experience:Working at the Scripps Howard Center offered me invaluable opportunities to engage with my community. I served as a key liaison between the center and non-profit organizations, and was one of the main event planners for their annual Mayerson Student Philanthropy Celebration. This event allowed students to award grants and donations to local non-profits, fostering a spirit of giving and community involvement.In addition to my writing and event planning experience, I also have a strong background in library services. During my time as a Student Assistant at Steely Library, I worked closely with students and faculty to enhance their access to educational resources. I assisted patrons in locating materials, provided recommendations, and supported the library's Media and Government Documents Departments by organizing new resources. One of the highlights of my role was collaborating on a project to introduce an educational streaming platform, which expanded access to resources and provided greater convenience for patrons needing materials on the go.
