About Michael Tabao

Michael Tabao is an instructor at the University of Saint Louis, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan, Philippines. He is an architect, safety officer, and researcher. As an academic, he has taught a wide range of architectural topics from design to thesis writing and application. He has presented to local, national, and international conferences his studies on language documentation, and the history of civic, ecclesiastical, domestic, and indigenous architecture in Cagayan Valley. Michael is an alumnus of the Sakura Science Exchange Program of the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) where he also gained his membership in the Sakura Science Club, Japan. He gained his degree Master of Science in Architecture, specializing in Sustainable Architecture at Mapua University, Manila, Philippines where his thesis “A Comparative Analysis of the Ethno-sustainable Architecture of the Itawit in the Middle and Southern Cagayan” has been nominated as Best Thesis in the University's Graduate School.
