Experience: 25 years of experience in the practice and support of molecular biology research. 14 years as a Field Applications Scientist with Applied Biosystems, Life Technologies and Thermo Fisher Scientific supporting molecular techniques including DNA sequencing, QPCR and Digital PCR and customers spanning research, clinical and industrial markets. 18 years of experience in managing teams including 13 years of experience managing technical support and field applications scientists in Australia, New Zealand and Singapore and 5 years of experience as Asia Pacific Training Manager leading a team of technical trainers based in Singapore. 10 years of experience developing and delivering soft skills training Highlights: Strong customer facing skills allowing me to engage customers in a variety of scenarios, including sales calls, technical discussions and presentations, project planning, training, troubleshooting and escalation management. Excellent customer relationship management skills particularly relevant to handling complaints and escalations. Strong people management skills in the areas of goal setting and review, change management, resource management, recruiting, training and staff development. Passion for training excellence. I developed my passion for training over the course of 15 years developing and delivering technical training to customers. During that time, I also developed an interest in soft skills training, helping to create several interactive workshops to enhance customer facing skills and training capabilities. I have delivered these workshops across the Asia Pacific region, in the US and Europe both in person and remotely.
