Background
About Michael Venzor
After graduating from Stanford University in 1996, I began my career as a video editor at Roger Corman’s Concorde Pictures. Over the years, I’ve held a variety of roles in the video production and postproduction industry, gaining over two decades of experience producing, editing, and broadcasting digital media of all kinds. This diverse background has equipped me with a comprehensive expertise in creative and technical workflows, as well as a deep understanding of effective communication and collaboration. In my previous role at Digital Film Academy, I taught video editing and edit theory courses, sharing my knowledge and passion with aspiring filmmakers. As Registrar, I managed attendance, class schedules, and grades for the entire student body, balancing administrative responsibilities with my commitment to teaching. This dual role allowed me to fine-tune systems and services while directly mentoring the next generation of creative professionals. Throughout my career, I’ve also worked extensively in project management, honing skills in team building, creating timelines and budgets, and maintaining client relationships. These experiences have strengthened my ability to lead cross-functional teams, deliver results, and adapt to the dynamic needs of any organization. In my previous role as Senior Manager, Program Delivery at CompTIA, I leveraged my extensive background in education, project management, and digital media to oversee and deliver impactful programs that aligned with CompTIA’s mission to advance the global tech workforce. I look forward to continuing my career spanning the fields of technology, media, and education.
