Background

About Michael W. Denniston

20+ years of experience in various commercial nuclear power plants as a project supervisor of multi-disciplined union and non-union work groups and non-manual staff. My experience includes Project management, planning, supervision, and coordination of complex projects such as Steam Generator replacements, Station Valve maintenance & replacements, Heat Exchanger replacements, Overhead Crane modifications and upgrades, as well as numerous maintenance and refueling outages, and implementation of numerous online projects. During my career, I have enjoyed the opportunity to be a positive example as a leader, to have the ability, and willingness, to provide detailed guidance needed to resolve technical, and organizational issues required to meet team, project, and Station goals. As a 27 year member of the United Association of Plumbers and Pipefitters, I have greatly enjoyed the opportunities to build and foster trusting, and respectful relationships between Union Building Trades labor and various sites management, creating a motivated workforce that goes above and beyond to help achieve project goals. As a Project Manager, I find it a priority to closely monitor projects to ensure work is performed safely while adhering to INPO 18-003 & IER 17-09 Maintenance Fundamentals and Technical Skills standards as well as meet budgetary requirements. My high level of field presence allows me to provide reinforcement of desired safe behaviors, and immediate correction of unsafe behaviors.
