About Michael W. Horst
I am originally from Ohio but I have been living in Atlanta since 2001. I moved to Atlanta after I graduated from Wake Forest University School of Law. My first several jobs were with defense firms around the Atlanta area who were focused on defending truck drivers, trucking companies, and their insurers. In 2015, I switched my practice and instead of defending those who injured others through negligent acts, I began suing them. It turned out to be the best decision I have made. I much more enjoy representing the "little guy" instead of defending multi-billion dollar insurance companies and their insureds. However, I do not regret my nearly 15 years on the defense side. Learning how the other side works, strategizes, and functions has proven to be invaluable when representing folks victimized by the defendants' negligence. I am a better plaintiffs lawyer because of my defense background.
