About Michael W. Lee

I am a economics consultant at Charles River Associates in the Energy practice. In this role, I facilitate trading events to set benchmark prices for clients in the energy, dairy, and natural fiber industries. In the energy industry, these electricity prices are what the electric utility companies charge to residential, commercial and industrial clients in deregulated regions in the United States. Throughout the years, my role has evolved from auctions facilitator to a manager and business developer, coordinating with the Vice Presidents to frequently meet clients in expanding their businesses internationally and providing our platform to reduce volatility in their industry. I have helped develop and test new models to make our trading platforms more efficient and introduce new buyers and sellers. I have prior experience working in Transfer Pricing at Deloitte, IT Consulting at Bit By Bit Computer Consultants, and volunteer work at the NYU Grey Art Museum. I graduated from New York University's College of Arts and Science with a degree in Economics and a Minor in Mathematics. Currently pursuing my MBA at the NYU Stern School of Business, specializing in Corporate Finance and Financial Models and Instruments, I continue to refine my analytical and strategic skill set. My experience in energy (electricity and renewables), dairy, telecommunications (mobile broadband and radio), and Natural Fiber (sheep wool) enables me to effectively contribute to capital markets, commodities trading, and asset management teams.
