I graduated from UCLA in June 2023 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and minor in History, regularly making Dean's List and excelling at writing in the Humanities. I spent the final two years at UCLA working as a Student Baseball Manager with the UCLA Baseball team, earning promotion to Head Student Baseball Manager for 2023 season. Working in the facilities at Jackie Robinson Stadium, I managed inventory, laundry and assisted in team drills. Was responsible for scouting, video capturing and game logging using advanced metric technologies like Rapsodo and Trackman while compiling video with XOS. Tasked with team travel planning and organization, managed other student managers to meet the needs of team staff. Previously, I worked as an Event Ambassador for the San Jose Earthquakes, interacting with fans at PayPal Park, welcoming the public and ensuring safety and kindness in the fan experience as I addressed concerns. Aside from my academics, my student journalism experience in very strong. After working as a Sports Reporter for the Daily Bruin, I was promoted to an Assistant Sports Editor, managing five different sports beats while editing a large amount of stories. In this capacity, I worked with inexperienced writers and other editors to pitch and execute articles within a virtual workspace during the COVID-19 pandemic. I scheduled writing for the beat, communicating with UCLA Athletics staff to obtain media credentials as I counseled staff writers on interview and writing techniques. I also worked as a writer for TheWarriorsTalk, an independent blog covering the Golden State Warriors. I communicated with the site editor to pitch stories, writing game wraps, opinion pieces and features. I have customer service experience ranging from time as a Stock and Retail Associate at a Pottery Barn Outlet Warehouse and as a Customer Service Representative at Domino's Pizza. I have conversational Spanish-speaking abilities, and am eager to break into the sports industry amidst my diverse experiences.
