About Michael Wang

Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biomedical Science with a passion for cancer research. This passion was ignited by my brother's battle with medulloblastoma. Inspired by his journey, I have actively engaged in various initiatives to champion the fight against cancer, such as participating in research endeavors and volunteering with organizations committed to providing assistance and solace to families and children impacted by cancer. These experiences have taught me to always be open-minded and compassionate. As a clinical research coordinator at the University Health Network, I have been actively involved in conducting and managing nationwide and local clinical studies aimed at enhancing our understanding of cancer. Moreover, my current position as a laboratory research assistant at the University of Guelph has developed my research capabilities. These roles have honed my organizational and communication skills, essential assets in the realm of healthcare and research. My ultimate goal is to bridge the gap between research and a clinical physician, incorporating the latest research into scientifically-based treatments.
