For the past 15 years, Dr. Michael Weitz, O.D, has specialized in the field of orthokeratology (also known as paragon CRT, corneal molding and vision shaping treatment). With this procedure, he has been able to offer a non- invasive alternative to LASIK. A patient sleeps with a pair of specially designed lenses and the cornea is molded to temporarily reverse nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism and presbyopia. Patients continue to wear these "retainer" type lenses every night or two to continue to see without the need for daytime correction. This procedure is recommended for athletes, pilots, dancers, actors, swimmers and for those who suffer from dry eye.
