He served multiple leadership roles, both, in business and in corporate functions. Since October 2023, Michael was responsible for Accenture's Critical Networks CoP in CFN EMEA.In this capacity he oversaw Accenture's play across EMEA on Private Networks (P5G), Mission Critical Services (MCx) and the Railways evolution towards 5G-FRMCS (working closely with our client account teams for Deutsche Bahn and SBB).Accenture Cloud First Networks' offerings in the Critical Networks domain encompass services across Advise, Transform and Operate and are fitting the technology stack to our client's business needs and solution with an ecosystem mindset. Since 2019, he served as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of umlaut communications GmbH, umlaut's German/European telco practice, and during 2021 to 2023 he successfully managed key activities along the complete acquisition process, from due diligence through to post-merger integration while joining forces with Accenture. As COO, he was responsible for delivery & operations and the company's business operations support functions, including HR/recruiting, backoffice/facility/fleet, management accounting & controlling, contracts & legal, integrated quality management, ERP IT & BI as well as people & culture initiatives. Prior to this role and from end-2013, he was co-founder and Managing Director of umlaut insight GmbH. With this start-up, he successfully ramped up a company focused on crowdsourcing, and adding on-device data collection and advanced analytics capabilities to umlaut's portfolio. Before joining umlaut, he served for 16 years as a seasoned network and service quality expert and senior manager, having started off at Vodafone Germany and spent most of his time in Vodafone’s Group Technology / Networks organization. He featured as speaker at GSMA Mobile World Congress and NGMN Industry Conference and as an NGMN research project lead. Overall, he brings a wealth of leadership experience and entrepreneurship.
