With 30+ years of local, regional and national experience, Mr. Werner has an impressive track record of success, as a skilled culinarian, entrepreneur and sought after food & beverage consultant. As a founding member of Leap Hospitality A leading food and beverage development company based in Kansas City. He oversees design and operations and has played an active role in all of Leap Hospitality’s concept design, development, NSO, and operational projects since 2007. Michael was the developer & Managing Partner of The an eclectic award-winning restaurant concept in Kansas City's Crossroads Arts District. The Jacobson received high praise from its opening in 2012. Garnering such accolades as Best New Restaurant, Best Business Lunch, Best KC Patio and continued as one of Kansas City's premier independent restaurants until closing and sale due to the pandemic in 2020. In 2021 Michael was hired to develop & launce Bamboo An exciting new chef-driven Thai food concept in the upscale live, work & play development Park Place, in Leawood Kansas, with the local ownership. Bamboo Pennys is also the home of The Bamboo Room an exotic rooftop dining & entertainment experience unlike anything in the Kansas City Metro. This award-winning concept continues to thrive under Michael's professional direction today.
