About Michael Wharton

I am a Project Manager and an Australian Chartered Mechanical Engineer (CPEng) with over 20 years of broad international in country experience (Australia, UK, The Philippines, Senegal, Burkina Faso, Guinea, Sri Lanka, Chile, Canada) working as a Design Engineer, Design Manager, Project Manager & Project Program Manager on EPC and EPCM projects. I have experience in both the Mining, and Energy sectors, covering Gold, Iron Ore, Coal, Copper, Coal seam gas, Energy, Transmission and Pumped Storage Hydro (PSP,PHES). I have lead major projects and multicultural project teams in both English and Spanish. Having factory, heavy industry and construction experience, I understand the challenges of technically bringing a project together and taking it to execution. I have managed international workshare projects and know how to bridge the gap between cultures and regions in order to successfully deliver a project. Completed a Diploma of Project Management in 2016.
