About Michael Wheelock

I am a Point Loma Nazarene University graduate with a major in Biochemistry and minor in computational science. Currently, I am manager of sensor testing for the R&D department at Allez Health. My interests include biotechnology and algorithm development. I first explored these interests in the field of diabetes care at the AMCR institute. There I created an application for managing patient glucose levels during clinical euglycemic clamp studies. The experience gained at AMCR led to my position now at Allez Health, where I use biochemistry and computational science principles to refine biosensor testing methods and develop algorithms from clinical study data. I am driven by a deep desire to learn how computational applications can simplify complex problems, and apply this knowledge with a team to find new solutions on projects. When not at work, I spend my time with my wife and my children. I also enjoy playing guitar, reading, and homebrewing.
