I am a award winning true crime author, researcher, historian, experienced speaker and presenter, and a retired decorated police officer with 22 years of service behind me. As a police officer, I served nearly nine and a half years as a detective, investigating major crimes including homicides, sexual assaults, burglaries, robberies, serious assaults, and other felony cases. I am well versed on death investigations, crime scene processing and evidence handling, and police procedure. I was awarded the department’s highest recognition, the Medal of Valor, in 2008. My first historical true crime book was released in 2013 and is titled, The Murder of Richard Jennings. The True Story Of New York's First Murder for Hire. My second, published in 2022, was the culmination of years of research into the 1892 lynching of Robert Lewis in Port Jervis, New York. This book, Lynched by a Mob. The 1892 Lynching of Robert Lewis in Port Jervis, New York, earned two top awards in true crime categories, and is the most accurate account of that incident to date, utilizing more than 635 sources to piece together the lynching, aftermath, and delve into the lives of the people involved. I have extensive experience as a tv commentator, public speaker and presenter, and can present on a variety of subjects, including historical true crime and paranormal topics such as ghosts and UFOs. I have been a paranormal researcher and investigator for decades, satisfying a lifetime curiosity into this field. My approach has been to bring science and fact based investigating into a field that is overrun with a lack of science, lack of objectivity and filled with sensationalism and assumptions. I have been featured on an episode of "Mysteries at the Museum" and in seasons one and two of "Hotel Paranormal" hosted by Dan Ackroyd.
