Prior Role: Aug - Dec 2003 MD for EDS Gulf States managing all aspects of EDS’ operations in the Gulf Region (170 people). My principal focus was on Sales / Business Development activities including Executive Relationship Management, Alliance Partner Management and managing a team of sales / business development professionals. Notable successes include Dubai E-Government, Jordan E-Government, Govt. of Bahrain, Saudi Aramco and Kuwait Real Estate Bank amongst others. I also managed the staff transfer of over 120 IT professionals to EDS Gulf States as a result of a global contract won by EDS with the Sabre Group in 2001 which yielded the largest IT outsourcing contract in Bahrain with Gulf Air. During this time Michael opened up the EDS Gulf States Middle East HQ in Dubai Internet City as well as sub-offices in Jordan and Oman. Prior Role: Business development manager for EDS Ireland including relationship management responsibility for all EDS Ireland’s Telecoms customers. During this time my team of 40 professionals implemented over 20 Billing and Mediation systems implementations and upgrades globally. I held this position for three years prior to joining EDS Gulf States. This was a business unit that had an annual revenue stream of approx $3m by Specialties: Financial Risk Management, Bank Regulation and Bank Capital Structures.
