About Michael Yegani

After pursuing an entrepreneurial venture in 2009/2010, I entered the Alberta Oil & Gas industry and landed into the down-hole coring service division. The fast paced environment motivated me and an opportunity to further myself through technical education was presented to me by my employer. Upon graduating from the Mechanical Engineering Technology department at NAIT, I continued with the down-hole coring services. Due to the instability of the Oil & Gas industry and the constant corporate restructuring within the past 3 years, I was challenged with multiple roles where I provided strategic thinking, as well as technical and analytical problem-solving to various departments. With the supply-chain experience and knowledge I've acquired, I transitioned into the public sector working with the crown corporation Defence Construction Canada serving our client-partner Assistant Deputy Minister Infrastructure and Environment (ADM IE) Group at the Department of National Defence (DND) and the Communications Security Establishment (CSE); initially working in public procurement within the Contracting Services service line. With my previous experience I've incorporated systematic and strategic measures in procurement planning and forecasting within the procedural framework of the service line. This mindset and business approach drew me into my current role in the Project and Program Management service line where I now provide program management services to our client-partner. The variety in experience has enabled me to become adaptable and flexible to change while providing me with a broad professional skill set in a short time. My experience has stimulated continuous improvement and a commitment to lifelong learning.
