About Michael Yount

I am a Jackson, MS native who has performed a wide variety of customer support tasks in the IT and telecommunications industries for approximately 20 years. After my enlistment in the United States Air Force as a C-17 maintenance specialist ended in 1996, I performed desktop PC, laptop, server, network, and printer installation, repair and support technician duties in various capacities for companies small and large. Recently I have functioned for several years as a Network Operations Center Technician for C Spire, one of the largest wireless providers in the country. Crucial to this position was the ability to react quickly and coordinate repair efforts whenever customer-affecting outages were discovered or reported. Resolving these issues as quickly and efficiently as possible to ensure customer satisfaction was always highest priority. I am currently employed with the Mississippi Department of Transportation as a Lead Systems Administrator, where I provide support for our agency's entire network infrastructure, including our traffic camera network. It is my desire to continue to further my education and enhance my experience in either of these two fields, though I am always eager and willing to acquire and apply the necessary skills to excel in other new and exciting areas.
