Background

About Michael Zammit

Interested in concurrency, data structures, algorithms, distributed systems, operating systems and virtualization. I really enjoy the boundary between software and hardware. Currently working in the financial advice space where the product we work on aims to deliver scaled financial advice primarily to super fund members, but long term to any retail clients. My role involves doing a lot of things from planning technical initiatives, working closely with product to understand and deliver features for our clients, working with my team and other teams in the same space to find better ways we can communicate, work together and solve problems, and while I might be what you call a full stack engineer, my areas of specialisation are more around backend, ci/cd and infrastructure. I consider myself to be language agnostic, but my languages of choice or require are python and javascript, and terraform for infrastructure as code.
