About Michael Zechmann

Mike focuses on working with successful entrepreneurs and wealth creator families who among other things, strive for a work-optional lifestyle. The extensive perspective from years of entrepreneurial coaching has been a very beneficial value add as we work with successful business owners, wealth creators, and real estate investors. Mike has worked in financial services since 2007. Before joining Morgan Stanley, Mike was the President and Founder of The Connected Financial Group, a fee-based financial planning firm. Mike is a graduate of The Johns Hopkins University with a degree in Applied Mathematics with a concentration in Economics. Mike has earned the Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) designation. Mike joined Morgan Stanley in 2015 and has been appointed Senior Vice President, Alternative Investments Director, Executive Financial Services Director, as well as a Senior Portfolio Management Director. Collectively, The Charleston Harbor Group at Morgan Stanley has 75 years of experience in wealth management and financial services. In addition to offering full family wealth management services, Mike has a niche in Private and Illiquid investments, of which Morgan Stanley is a leader in the access to that space. Mike lives on Winyah Bay in Georgetown, South Carolina with his wife Rebeca and two daughters Catherine and Madeline and his son Michael Jr. As a family they enjoy gardening and raising chickens. In his free time, he enjoys playing tennis, pickleball and golf. Mike is also a huge Minnesota Vikings and Georgia Bulldogs fan. He believes in lifetime learning and has specific interest in longevity, health and nutrition.
