About Michael Zhan

I am currently working as a Sustainability Consultant at Accenture in the UK. I am currently working with clients across sectors to develop science based targets for carbon emissions and encourage businesses to act on their nature and biodiversity impact through the Get Nature Positive initiative. Prior to my current role, I was a Senior Consultant at KPMG UK with the Infrastructure Advisory Group. My work focuses on the regulatory environment of transport and future mobility options in the UK. I help clients address the most heatedly discussed challenges in the future landscape of transport, including: path to net zero carbon, best practice regulatory framework (e.g. sandboxes/anticipatory regulation) for future mobility solutions, the role of devolution of transport and funding powers in enabling effective transport planning. I have also supported clients in developing business cases for their investments in future mobility options. I am also passionate about international trade and investment. My market-entry experience involved working with a past client, one of the US state-level departments of economic development, in which I connected companies established within its state jurisdiction to potential buyers, distributors and business groups/associations in Southeast Asia. I focused on the following markets: Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia.
