About Michaela Bartelt

Michaela Morlock is a Market Access Consultant at SmartStep Consulting GmbH, where she applies her scientific and clinical expertise to advise clients on the German and European healthcare systems and regulatory environments. She has a master's degree in biochemistry from the University of Tübingen, with a semester abroad at Fudan University in China. Previously, they worked as a Biosampling Project Leader at AstraZeneca, managing several projects within different therapeutic areas, including Oncology, Diabetes, and COVID-19, on the central laboratory level. She was instrumental in achieving key study milestones such as FSI and DBL, resulting in a promotion and recognition. She also facilitated cross-functional collaboration and patient-centric sampling, using her communication skills and well-organized way of working. She is passionate about integrating different cultures in an international research environment and volunteers as an alumni member of the Gesellschaft für Biochemie und Molecular Biologie and AZinspire association. She has a strong interest in big data and strives to combine their biochemical knowledge and project management skills in their future career.
