With a background in psychology, behavioural science, and special education, I am passionate about developing well-rounded and hands-on learning experiences for students. My teaching philosophy emphasizes STEM education, the integration of Indigenous perspectives, and promoting literacy development in diverse and meaningful ways. Throughout my practicum experiences, I have developed and implemented inquiry-based STEM lessons, incorporating tools like coding platforms and robotics to enhance problem-solving and critical thinking skills. I prioritize embedding Indigenous knowledge and diverse representation in my lessons to ensure all students feel seen and valued. My literacy program focuses on phonics, oral storytelling, and inclusive texts, fostering a love for reading and writing in all students. Additionally, I have gained practical experience supporting students through roles as an Emergency Supply Staff and have worked in a variety of educational settings, from early childhood education to elementary school classrooms. These experiences have strengthened my classroom management skills and my ability to provide tailored support to students with diverse needs.
