About Michaela Divito

Before I even knew what it was, I was subconsciously practicing industrial engineering. For years now, my dad and I have challenged each other to come up with the best methods for loading the dishwasher while wasting as little water as possible. I have a strange knack for finding the exact smallest possible container that will fit all the leftovers from dinner, leaving the most fridge space available. I would always find myself iterating and improving upon life's smallest process bottlenecks. As a Fall 2024 Industrial and Systems Engineering graduate from the University of San Diego, I am passionate about optimizing the allocation of scarce resources such as energy and food. I am interested in efficiency, process improvement, and the global supply chain. I have formal experience improving systems such as snack food manufacturing, T55 engine production, wine bottling, and the planting and harvesting processes. I am excited to begin a fulfilling career that will allow me to couple financial performance with positive social and environmental impact!
