About Michaela Hyde

As executive director at Marriage Foundation, alongside the running of the charity, I have the privilege of coordinating projects that support the work of the Marriage Foundation which is to highlight the huge importance of marriage ( & civil partnerships) for couples, children & our society. Our research has demonstrated that commitment through marriage is the key to offering our children the best life chances, reducing the epidemic of family breakdown & providing the best environment for life-long relationship for couples. Our flagship project is National Marriage Week which encourages couples across the nation to invest in & celebrate their relationship. And for unmarried couples in a serious relationship, we encourage them to consider having a 'forever conversation' to remove the likely ambiguity within the relationship & making a commitment to each other through marriage! I have a YouTube channel called The Relationship Hub. I began this channel in response to a growing need for honest conversation when it comes to relationships. We all seek out relationships that can work & last yet there are very few outlets for these real & authentic conversations. I have interviewed a variety of couples including those who have spoken about fighting to save their marriage, newlyweds getting married during the pandemic, an interview with sex and relationship therapist; Emma Waring & an interview with E4's Celeb's Go Dating presenter; Anna Williamson. With my husband, we present a weekly radio show called The M Word for Konnect Radio. This is on Sunday evenings from 6-8pm & we cover a range of relationship topics. Over the years, my presenting experience has been broad and includes a number of different mediums including live television, kid's TV and a regular contributor to BBC radio. I've participated in a range of high-profile interviews & presented live youth events with Michael Rodd. I've had extensive experience as a guest presenter on QVC shopping channel. I have appeared on BBC One's Sunday Morning Live, taking part in a debate and participating in several interviews for BBC local radio stations across the UK on the subject of marriage and relationships. Specialties: As a presenter and interviewer, I'm passionate about people, getting the best out of them, and finding ordinary people who have extraordinary stories! I'm aways looking for a new challenge and opportunities to engage with life's constant adventures and the people that I inevitably meet along the way!
