Michaela Juric is the General Manager of Programs and Partnerships for AUDC; the issuers of the one-to-one Australian dollar backed stablecoin, AUDD. She also leads the company’s regulatory efforts in bringing AUDD to market. Michaela is a recognised voice in the Australian crypto community for her advocacy of businesses within this sector and for more general thought leadership on the acceptance of cryptocurrencies and digital assets within the fintech space. Her passion for inclusion and innovation within payments and finance through the use of blockchain technologies has seen her collaborate with a variety of parties, including direct contracting entities, corporations, traders, investors, and blockchain developers. Michaela is a pioneer in the blockchain and crypto sector having been involved since 2013. She has participated with regulators in support of the development of initial frameworks for digital currency exchanges in Australia, established an industry group for p2p traders and has been actively involved in education and awareness of cryptocurrencies. She has enthusiastically participated as a speaker on a variety of forums, round-tables and panels on issues surrounding blockchain, financial crimes, governance and debanking, both locally and internationally. Entrepreneurial in spirit, Michaela has established two successful businesses within the blockchain space; Dexah Advisory, a digital asset and blockchain consultancy services which specialises in operations, compliance, and governance; and Bitcoin Babe, one of Australia’s longest running digital currency exchange services, having commenced trading in 2014. In light of her experiences with debanking, Michaela overcame adversity and was the first person in Australia to use Bitcoin to purchase a house.
