About Michaela Strauther

Though I am still a student, my love for and talent in creative writing, academic writing, and copy editing extend virtually life-long. Since publishing my first novel, Embers of Empire, in 2018 at sixteen years old, I have been consistently building my skills in the English Language field through coursework, job positions, and personal endeavors. I first entered the publishing world upon publishing my novel with BookLogix Publishing Company after winning their annual young writers contest, and I continued to volunteer as a manuscript judge for three summers after that. I have two years of past experience working as a reading and writing tutor, both collegiate level and K-12, through Brandeis University's English Language Program (one year) and Littera Education's online platform (one year). Through Brandeis University's English Language Program, I helped students develop and refine their research, drafting, and editing processes for academic essays. Thus, my writing abilities encompass many different genres and styles. Most recently, my academic research paper on transracial adoption was published in NYU Gallatin's online platform, Confluence.
