About Micheal Howard

Micheal Howard rejoins the Northwood family in 2015 following a year long stint with the Coffeyville Red Ravens in Coffeyville, Kansas. He returns with a wealth of experience having finished the previous season with one of the most storied and highly respected programs in the nation. The Ravens finished 2014 ranked in the top 10 overall and boasted a defense that sent multiple players to FBS programs throughout the country and was touted as one of stingiest at any level of competition. Howard's Defensive Line saw 3 of the 4 starters sign Division 1 scholarships and his Red Raven squad finish with a 9-3 record and a bowl appearance in the Champs Heart of Texas Bowl vs Trinity Valley Community College. In 2012 Howard served as the Defensive Line assistant at his Alma Mater Charleston Southern University. While at CSU he helped the Buccaneers to recover from a winless campaign in 2011 by finishing the season with 5 victories in their final 8 games. The Bucs Defense finished in the top 5 in the nation versus the pass during the 2012 season. During the 2011 season Micheal was part of the coaching staff at Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison, New Jersey where he coached Outside Linebackers and served as Defensive Coordinator for the teams Junior Varsity squad. During his tenure at FDU Howard helped to mentor a First Team All-Middle Atlantic Conference Linebacker who led the conference in sacks and was entered into the schools record books for QB Sacks in a career. From 2008-2011 Howard held the title of Defensive Coordinator at RB Stall High School in North Charleston.
