About Michela Cimberle

I have worked for almost thirty years in the medical writing and publishing field, as European correspondent, senior writer and editor for Ocular Surgery News, a leading publication in ophthalmology. I have learned to move easily in a medical environment, of which I know the stakeholders, institutions, activities, organizations and interests. In my specialized field, ophthalmology, I have developed a solid knowledge and understanding of the scientific basis, pathologies, treatments, techniques and technologies across all subspecialties. I regularly attend all major Ophthalmology congresses and courses, organize meetings with our Editorial Board and Industry Advisory Council and have almost daily multiple contacts with KOLs for the development of various projects. I have worked for some years on a professional basis, and then regularly on a voluntary basis, as a communication and project manager, planning and organizing a variety of cultural events, meetings and courses and taking care of all aspects and relationships involved. I am co-founder and president of a non-profit music society, Asolo Matinée, dedicated to the educational and artistic development of young classical musicians. Projects of the association include concerts and international masterclasses. I have worked always, first full time and now on a part-time basis, as a teacher, at University and High School level. I have deep knowledge and deep interest in education, as well as a wide experience in promoting, organizing and conducting educational programs.
