About Michela Matassoni

I would be keen to utilise my international background to progress my career as an architect. A position with your practice would be therefore an exceptional opportunity to increase my knowledge and improve my skills. I graduated in 2014 in Architectural Engineering 2nd level LM-4 C.U (5 years degree course) at the University “Gabriele D’Annunzio” of Chieti-Pescara (Italy), with a final degree mark of 105/110. During my studies I tried to create my own urban and architectural identity, favouring simplicity and linear shapes and studying the greatest contemporary architects. I attended several training courses, architectural contests, workshops and exhibited some of my projects. In 2009 I was awarded an Erasmus fellowship and from August 2010 to July 2011 I studied at the “Victor Hortà” University in Bruxelles, where I developed a different vision of architecture. From 2013 I worked as a freelance Architect for “Mingozzi studio”located in Cesena, where I carried out numerous tasks including refurbishment and construction agreements. From July 2013 to September 2013 I have been trained to assist clients and better meet their expectations. I continued my collaboration with the same studio until I relocated to London in September 2014. From November 2014 to February 2015 I have been self employed for “Cantaledesign” Studio, located in London where I was involved in a refurbishment and extension project in Plumstead. At present I am employed by “ECCO” where I have been swiftly promoted as a team leader in charge of the stockroom within 1 year. I am a sociable person, I love new challenges and I like to achieve results on the required time scale I consider myself a good listener and enjoy working in a team. I’m eager to learn more and improve my skills and knowledge I‘m a keen traveller and enjoy every opportunity to learn more about different cultures and architectures
