About Michele McSharry

I am an urban designer with a passion for designing sustainable cities and precincts that will make a positive impact on peoples' lives. With a background in architecture, I have worked in Sydney, London and Singapore on City-shaping projects across mixed use, commercial, education, residential, transport and infrastructure sectors. With over 25 years’ experience working for public or private sector clients, my strength lies in placemaking and unlocking the vision and opportunities for each project, communicating a compelling vision and structure for master plans at multiple scales from single sites to campuses and large scale urban renewal sites and precincts. I am passionate about integrating innovative housing models and mixed use development with transport infrastructure to support our rapidly urbanising environments.I have successfully delivered rezonings for large, complex renewal sites, master plans for new and existing Metro precincts, and worked with local and state government developing masterplans and advising on revisions to planning controls. Key projects include- Central Renewal Precinct, Sydney- Western Sydney Airport Metro precincts, Sydney- Fast Rail, Central West- Flinders University Master Plan, Adelaide- Willoughby Local Centres Strategy, Sydney- UNSW Vision, Sydney- Flemington Racecourse Structure Plan, Melbourne- Newbury Racecourse Grandstand, UK- Sydney Olympic Park Train Station, Sydney
