About Michele Ocen

I am a Licensed Psychologist and Board Certified Behavior Analyst at Keystone Pediatric Behavioral Health, a multi-specialty group private practice located in Orange County, CA. I also hold a faculty appointment UC Irvine Medical Center as a psychologist at the Center for Autism & Neurodevelopmental Disorders. At both locations, I provide developmental and diagnostic assessments for children in early childhood and adolescents usually when there are questions about language, behaviors, learning, and/ or development. I have specific expertise in the early detection and treatment of autism spectrum and other neurodevelopmental disorders. While I have training in a number of therapeutic approaches, I enjoy and have expertise in applied behavior analysis (ABA), am certified in the Early Start Denver Model, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Parent Coaching, and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I completed my pre-doctoral internship at the Center for Autism and Developmental Disorders at the Munroe-Meyer Institute, University of Nebraska Medical Center. There I developed expertise in ABA therapy, early intensive behavioral intervention, social skills training, and the treatment of severe behavior disorders. I completed my post-doctoral fellowship training at the Center for Autism and Developmental Disabilities at Children’s Medical Center, Dallas. While a fellow, I continued early intervention work and developed expertise in providing early childhood assessments and evaluations, including measures that assess cognitive development and autism specifically.
