About Michele Tung

Born on the lands of the Kalapuya tribe in Oregon, Michele has always appreciated being surrounded by the Pacific Northwest’s beautiful forests and ocean. Curiosity about her Chinese heritage led her to spend a substantial number of years after graduate school living and working in China to learn Mandarin, working in State-owned and multi-national corporations in Shanghai. Over the last ten years, Michele has focused her time and energy on raising her family and working on projects with meaningful social impact on the community. Using her experience from her previous start-ups, she is thrilled to work with like-minded friends and colleagues to bridge the gap between innovative business practices and social sectors focused on alleviating homelessness and protecting our environment. You can find Michele playing on the traditional territories of the Coast Salish Nations, which include the xwməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations, Vancouver’s North Shore mountains or waters, with her husband, two children and two dogs.
