Previous Contract - Associate Legislative Manager - Responsibilities included researching established newspapers and news outlets via the Internet on potential congressional legislation that would have a direct or indirect impact on current and future clients. Utilized articles and information found to prepare a brief three times weekly to inform/update executive staff on the advancement or setback of pending legislation. Previous Contract - Editor/Proofreader - Responsibilities include listening to recorded conversations between Advocacy Coordinator and advocate via.wav files while editing/proofreading letters for members of Congress. Prepare daily editor narratives for editor supervisor. Previous Contract - Field Supervisor - Responsible for managing a staff of Advocacy Coordinators, which included education on various advocacy campaign issues, providing support, leadership and guidance. Prepared reports, schedules, and held weekly conference calls and training when needed. Responsible for editing and proofreading advocate letters for members of Congress before mailing letters to advocate. Previous Contract - Advocacy Coordinator - Responsibilities included contacting and educating individuals on various policy issues pending before the U.S. Congress or a state legislature with the desired result of engaging a citizen to advocate for or against the proposed legislation. With permission, wrote letters on behalf of the advocate to his or her elected congressional representative or state legislator based on detailed and comprehensive information gathered during an in-depth phone conversation. Responsible for generating and mailing advocate letters for the advocate to approve, sign and forward to the elected representative.
