About Michelle A. Caler

Working at the intersection of science, data, and research fulfills my passion to analyze and understand the why of things. I love diving into scientific models, discovering the story behind the data and transferring that knowledge into something relatable. Formerly a physics instructor at West Chester University for almost 10 years, I served as a lecturer, researcher and academic advisor to undergraduates working on their bachelor's degree in physics. At the heart of my success in education is my compassion for others. I genuinely value cultural diversity and have an inclusive style of leadership combined with a calm and patient demeanor that facilitates engagement and curiosity. Known as a true collaborator, I can partner easily with project managers, clients and vendors to ensure obtaining organizational goals. Whether charged with reengineering a lab, finding a solution to an anomaly in an experiment or writing new protocols and SOPs, I can be counted on to lead with integrity, accountability and product ownership. Throughout my career in higher education, I have held numerous leadership roles focused on improving outcomes. During my graduate work in physics at Penn, my thirst for knowledge was central in my commitment to conducting extensive research. As a self-proclaimed data enthusiast, I enjoy dissecting patterns and anomalies; I also enjoy learning new data analysis and machine learning skills. With a penchant for life-long learning, I enjoy the challenge of staying abreast of educational trends while ensuring there is no option for compromise. Above all, my mission is to grow and improve organizational outcomes and, at the same time, help individuals achieve their ultimate potential. My greatest hope is to work in a collaborative, scientific environment that fosters exploration, learning and growth.
