About Michelle Batista

Born and raised in New York City, I entered emergency medical services with a deep sense of purpose and a commitment to delivering care under the most extreme conditions. As a New York State certified EMT, I have responded to some of the most critical and complex emergencies our city faces, from patients trapped in overturned vehicles to individuals suffering from gunshot wounds, stabbings, subway incidents, and life threatening trauma. Working in this high acuity environment has taught me more than just clinical skills. It has shaped my ability to think clearly under pressure, communicate effectively in chaos, and remain composed and compassionate even in the most harrowing circumstances. I have treated patients at their most vulnerable and advocated for their dignity in moments when seconds could determine outcomes. This work is not only demanding, it is deeply rewarding. It has reinforced my passion for medicine, sharpened my instincts, and solidified my long term goal of expanding my role in patient care as a registered nurse. I am driven by a genuine commitment to serve, to grow, and to never lose sight of the humanity behind the uniform.
