I am a hard working, driven professional who believes in integrity. I believe in working together as a team and going the extra mile to get the job done. Weather that is putting in extra hours or taking charge and making the connection to make the task possible, I am the go to professional. I have 8 years experience in the Purchasing/Procurement world: Working with vendors on best pricing, generating Purchase Order Numbers for Anchor Glass Container's plants needs (roughly 3 million a year) on the Plant Expense side and Capital Projects. I recently was heavily involved with a 17 Million Dollar Capital Project, my duties were: ordering, following up on, & closing out the PO#'s on all the equipment ranging from cranes, to trailers, to forklifts and items needed for daily operations for a 100 man crew operating 24/7 to support the Project. I also have several years of experience in the Accounting world: Budget VS. Actual tracking of Plant expenses. Exposure to Forecasting production and expenses for monthly and quarterly projections. Main contributor to the month end close process, which includes closing of GL accounts, reconciliations of returned finished goods produced, cycle counts on finished goods, And the company credit card. I also work closely with the inventory manger on cycle counts, resolving issues with discrepancies in the physical vs. GL amounts, making adjustments as needed. I have tax preparation experience as well, 2 years worth, working on more of the individual and small business side of bookkeeping and Federal Tax returns. So because I have worked in two different, equally important areas, those being Accounting and Purchasing, it allows me to work very efficiently, as both compliment eachother. I feel my experiences in all my working years have contributed to my knowledge base of both worlds. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my kids, cycling, working out, & going to a variety of classes to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
