About Michelle Brown-Link

I am experienced administrative professional having spent over 20 years working in the Dallas/Fort Worth area for an international media ministry, which also does relief work in such places as Mozambique, Angola, Rwanda, China, India and the Ukraine. I pursued a career path which allowed me to go from taking incoming customer service calls to spending 10 years as the assistant to the VP of Media/Executive Producer. I took a leap of faith in 2011 left the DFW area. Since that time I have had the opportunity to expand my experiences in for profit and non-profit arenas. I was a recruiting coordinator until that company closed, at which point I was privileged to work for the state of Texas. During my time at the Department of State Health Services (DSHS) and Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS), I engaged with a variety of people, from dentists and veterinarians to state representatives and their staff, to parents and their family members who are involved in state conservatorship. As branch manager in the staffing industry, I added full cycle recruiting, sales, office management, and staff supervision to my experience. My current position in an academic environment allows me to enhance my skill set while while providing support to staff, faculty and students during an extended season of transition and cultural change. I am a life-long learner with a sharp mind, and an ability to engage with some very challenging people with patience, firmness and a listening ear. My Strengths Finder strengths are: Connectedness, Positivity, Belief, Strategic, and Relator. I have tested on the MBTI as an INTJ - moderate Introvert, a slight iNtuitive, slight Thinking and moderate Judging. According to the Enneagram I am a Type 6 - The Loyalist. The DISC assessment categorizes me as an Individualist.
